185 Million years in 2 DVD’s
Jurassic Coast Special Edition DVD

The Jurassic Coast is England’s first natural World Heritage Site. It exposes a time period in the earths history covering 185 million years, including the entire Mesozoic Era, and now there is a brand new double DVD set available to tell you all about it.

The double disc DVD set is different from any of Divercol Productions previous films about the Jurassic Coast in the fact that it is 3 films in one. Containing over 2.5 hours of footage, the viewer can choose to watch either the documentary, aerial film or the Jurassic Coast Compilation Film - a multi-picture film which includes both these films as well as an additional forward looking aerial perspective and information about the Time Period, age of the rocks, type of rocks, a map with moving cursor and place name all on the same screen! (It really does have to be seen to be believed!)

The films uncover the secrets of the Jurassic Coast and show many of its natural treasures: Dinosaur footprints, Giant Ammonites, Fossil Forests, The Devil’s Pavement, The Ammonite Graveyard, Sun stones, The Portland Jewel, radioactive nodules and much more.

The films are based around stunning aerial footage which runs the full length of the Jurassic Coastline, from Orcombe Point in East Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset, a total of 95 miles!

The documentary runs in time with the aerial footage and all the films have been created so they can be watched independently of one another.

Narrated by Malcolm Brown, the film also includes subtitles in English for the hard of hearing. Both the discs contain comprehensive interactive menus for ease of navigation and use.

The DVD set was filmed and edited by Colin Froud, to show how the modern-day landscape equates back to an age millions of years ago, a time when dinosaurs roamed through forests and marine reptiles ruled the seas.

Richard Edmonds, the Earth Science Manager of the World Heritage Site Team has described the films as “A visual feast taking in the entire Jurassic Coast”.
